Important Info !!!

What to bring for the first audition camp:
1. Comfortable clothes and shoes for the weekend (You will be marching over the course of the weekend)
2. A small water bottle that you can fill regularly
3. Your own brass Instrument (especially trumpet players), drum, stand, & harness (if you can NOT bring your own drum Carolina Gold will also have our equipment for you to use during the audition process). Carolina Gold only has a limited number of equipment so, if possible please provide your own for the Audition camps.
4. Mouth pieces, Sticks, Practice Pad, 3-ring binder with your Carolina Gold Exercise Packet included (needs to be in plastic sheet protectors) and a pencil.

How to prepare:
1. If you don't have a packet for the section you are interested in auditioning for, I would advise you to do so ASAP so that you are set up for success for the audition camps. You can do so here : Brass || Percussion || Guard
2. READ THE INFORMATION on the website and in your exercise packets!
3. Stretch and do some calisthenics.
4. Practice marching and moving your feet while you play!

What to expect from the staff:
1. We will be looking for individuals with great attitudes and a strong work ethic!
2. Everyone will have an individual audition (your caption heads will send out an e-mail with more specific goals of what exercises will be played in the individual auditions)
3. We will work on all aspects of the marching activity; i.e. playing, marching, and performance.
4. Most importantly a quality education and positive experience.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me or your prospective caption head: Brass || Percussion || Guard

I am looking forward to seeing you at the first audition camp.

Tell your friends and anyone who you think would be interested in auditioning to come out for a chance to be apart of a great season!

Kindest Regards,
Justin Mabry
