Nanako Tsurumi - Front Ensemble Technician

This will be Nanako Tsurumi's second year working with Carolina Gold. She is currently studying music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a member of their marching band, wind ensemble, and percussion ensemble. Nanako also performed with the Triangle Brass Band as a percussionist. She played tenors in WGI's independent World group Constitution in 2007-2008, and she was the timpanist for Carolina Crown in 2009. She has taught front ensembles at a variety of high schools in the Cary, NC area, and she was also a counselor at Matt Savage's drum camp in 2008 and 2010. She is currently the front ensemble technician at Wake Forest Independent. Nanako has studied with Will Goodyear, Teddy Holcomb, Matt Ramey, Murray Gusseck, Lee Beddis, Ian Hale, Steve Ballard, Andrew Markworth, and Matt Savage.
