Color Guard Technician

Aliyah Ingram is a graduate from Scotland High school is currently a full time student at East Carolina University. She is completing her senior year of undergraduate studies at East Carolina towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health with a Pre-Health Professions concentration. She plans to obtain her Master’s degree in Public Health administration and then attend medical school to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

Throughout Aliyah’s colorguard career she has been apart of many programs. Beginning in 8th grade (2008), she spun with the Scotland High School Junior Varsity winterguard ensemble for two seasons and with the Varsity ensemble for three seasons throughout her high school career. While in attendance at Scotland High School, she also completed four colorguard seasons with the Fighting Scots Marching Band (2009-2013). After graduating from high school she branched out and spun with Eastern Independent Winterguard for two seasons (2014-2015). For the previous two years she has been a marching member of Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corp (2015-2016). Aliyah was also a member of Legacy Independent presented by Carolina Gold for the 2016 Independent A winter season where she obtained a bronze medal with the group at Winter Guard International World’s Championship. She is currently completing her second season with Legacy in the Independent open class. Legacy has provided her with substantial growth and has given her the opportunity to continue doing what she loves.

 

Aliyah has gained instructional experience through her time as a technician and part choreographer at South Central High School in Winterville, NC during the fall seasons of 2015 and 2016. She has also provided assistance at Green Central High School and Scotland High School from time to time. This will be her first season being apart of the Carolina Gold colorguard staff and she is very excited. Aliyah has a background of technical dance experience of twelve years as well that has helped her throughout her guard career with expression and movement.
