Andrew Francis graduated with his Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Lenoir-Rhyne as well. While at Lenoir-Rhyne, he was a member of various ensembles, including the newly reformed “Spirit of LR” Marching Band where he was Head Drum Major for three years. He has also been involved in the Jazz Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, Acapella Choir, College Singers, Wind Ensemble, and Wind Symphony. Andrew was given the incredible honor of serving as a student guest conductor for the LR Wind Symphony performing at the North Carolina Music Educators Association Conference in November of 2019.
Andrew also marched mellophone with the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2016, 2017, and 2018 seasons. Andrew is an avid Drum Major instructor, giving private Drum Major lessons and clinics to students across Western and Central North Carolina. He currently holds the position of Band, Chorus, and Handbell Director at Maiden Middle School in Maiden, NC.
