

Don Dohm
Education Coordinator
Currently serving as Director of Bands at Forbush High School, Dohm has also led successful programs at Rockingham County High School and McMichael High School. His teaching career has encompassed concert band, wind ensemble, marching band, jazz band, percussion ensemble and music theory, guiding students to superior performances at state and regional festivals.

Dohm’s roots in the drum corps community run deep. He performed with Spirit of Atlanta in 1986 and 1988 before serving on the instructional staffs of Carolina Crown (1990–1993) and Tarheel Sun (1996). Internationally, he worked as performer, designer, and music director with the Sheffield Jordonairs Drum and Bugle Corps in England in 1999.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Dohm is also an active adjudicator for marching band competitions and a longtime member of the National Association for Music Education. His vision for Carolina Gold emphasizes excellence in instruction, creativity in design, and a commitment to student growth through the transformative power of the drum corps activity.
