Paul Mellander – Board of directors - member at large

Paul Mellander is a lifetime musician, 2 year Carolina Gold horn line veteran, and recipient of the Jodie Strickland “Heart of Gold” award his first year with the corps. A cross between MacGyver and Emeril, Paul has also spent a year contributing to the Gold organization with his spatula and pliers instead of his Schilke 51D.

Mr. Mellander served as both president and vice president for the Northwest Guilford Viking Band Boosters and also coordinated Teal Sound’s equipment trailer design and build for the 2008 DCI season. In addition to managing the support and facilities for Gold, Paul is a business development account manager with ABCO Automation; a Fast 50 recipient company in Brown Summit, NC.

Paul and his wife of 20+ years love to cook and have fed hundreds of people on numerous occasions. He’s looking forward to feeding Gold members healthy, fresh, delicious food again this season. Yes, Paul even likes to wash dishes!
