Sean Combes is an arranger, instructor, and clinician living in Cary, NC where he is the Percussion Director for the Cleveland High School music program in Clayton, North Carolina. He is active as a percussion arranger and clinician for numerous colleges and high schools up and down the east coast and is featured on Standing O Marching, Dynamic Marching, and System Blue. Sean is an arranger and consultant for the Wake Forest University independent percussion ensemble from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as well as the front ensemble arranger/coordinator for the perennial DCA Finalist and 2010 DCA High Percussion Award Winner Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps from Greensboro, North Carolina.
Sean attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where he studied with Donald Bick and Howard Curtis, performing in the Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and various solo and chamber groups. He is also active as a freelance percussionist and maintains a private studio in the Raleigh/Durham area. Sean was a member of the world champion Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps as well as a 2001 PASIC clinic participant.
