Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps is a non-profit community organization whose purpose is to promote and foster a general interest and participation in a public drum & bugle corps for the state of North Carolina by providing programs and services that will allow practice and study of the fine art of drum & bugle corps.

emory Hensley – Tenor Technician

Emory Hensley is currently the director of music at W.D. Williams Elementary School, and Weaverville Primary School. He is a graduate of Mars Hill College with a degree in Music Education. While at Mars Hill he participated in the marching band, percussion ensemble, marimba band, and wind ensemble. Emory has instructed many middle and high school percussion programs throughout North Carolina and currently works with Charles. D. Owen High School. He has been on staff with the Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps (2010 & 2011 DCA Class A High Percussion Winner) as well as Wake Forest Independent (2011 WGI Independent A Finalists). Emory has been an instructor for the MulTiPerc Summer Percussion Camp since 2007.

Emory has participated in Drum Corps International with the World Class Finalist Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, as a member of the tenor line. He has also been a member of Odyssey Percussion Theatre, a Percussion Independent World group in WGI.

Emory is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and NCMEA.
